Foreign Policy

Alliances

Other clans may make an alliance with Lazor if both clanleaders deem it fit. Alliances have three minimum requirements for collaboration. First of all, both clans must fight together in battles. This is the most important objective allies must achieve. However, both clans also must share passwords to each others’ servers, and share skins, maps and tilesets to prevent squabbles. An alliance is beneficial because united clans are less likely to fall due to reiterating failures or loss of popularity. Contact us at our alliance email if you are interested in joining.

Traitors

Traitors are Lazors who debilitate their clan in some way by promoting another clan. There are three types of traitors. The first type of traitor is an individual who gives classified information to a player not part of, associated with, or related to any clan. A traitor like this is banished from the clan and is not allowed on the server. Another type of betrayal that receives a worse punishment is joining another clan anytime after being a Lazor. Anyone found guilty of this form of sedition will be given a permanent ban from the Lazor Clan Server. The worst type of traitor, also known as a spy, exchanges information with a clan while they are still a Lazor. This subversive behavior is punished with banishment and a position on the Lazor enemies list. All current Lazors are warned that no one is exempt from any of these treatments and squadron members, allies, and even members of the elite squad will be punished if found guilty.

Joining Lazor

If you would like to join our clan, than you should have a decent amount of skill in some martial or technical area. Unlike many other clans, you may not just add a [Lazor] tag to the beginning of your name. To just be a Lazor – and not a squadron member – you must be invited. If you have not been invited and would like to join, you must have some skill that is not only enough to catch the attention of an already inducted Lazor but enough to become a part of a squadron. When you specify your skills on the application, we expect more than just a “knack” for something; we want an area of expertise that you have been training at for a while and that you and others assume is reasonably better than the majority of Teeworlds players. Examples of some of these fields would be C++, Illustrator, instantgib, and racing. For technical ones like the former two, we expect you to also have a decent knowledge with related programs and languages and how they work with the game. These rules do not apply if you wish to join an allied clan, and only the recruiting requirements of the concerned parties apply.

Servers

There is one caveat to these requirements, however. If you have a server, or have a computer and operating system capable of hosting a server, than you may join as long as you create a server for the Lazor Team in which we can host our maps, mods, and indicia without any other clan interfering. This exception exists because we currently possess more than seventy members and have only one server that is prone to potent lag and is not always up. In order to have a decent framework and good reputation, we need a place where our members may practice, fight, and recruit.
