New Eagle-Leader

31 05 2008

I am sad to announce the resignation of our Eagle-Leader, Azer. He has served the team well, but unfortunately cannot play anymore. Tryouts for a new leader will be held today.

Update (Again)

28 05 2008

Yes. Another update. (Isn’t it exciting?) Actually, two updates. Firstly, we have updated the Lazor syntax, which is very important. Here it is:

[Lazor-V|e|Squadron-V]Name[S|FL|RL|D|C|A]

Cryptic? Well, here’s the key.

Purple: Position (This is where the position for a squadron or corps goes

Orange: Elite squadron (Put this before your previous squadron if you are part of an elite squadron)

Green: Squadron (This is where your squadron or past squadron goes)

Red: Name (This is your Teeworlds username, i.e. “Jon”)

Cyan: Corps (S is spy, F is fighter, R is racer, D is designer, C is cartographer, and A is Allied Leader)

By the way, my name is now [e|Lazor-Leader]Jon[SL|A]

Additionally, the clanwar mentioned below has been cancelled. Have a nice day!

OMGZ! OMGZ! Major Updates!

12 05 2008

No, the Lazor Blog is not dead. We were just hibernating. During this stage, many new changes occurred, which I will write about in this post.

  1. First of all, we have changed the way people can join. One can now join Lazor without submitting an application. I made this decision for two reasons. First of all, more than 50% percent of Teeworlds players are German, so filling out an entire form in English could be quite challenging for many. Another reason I did this was because many players are just casual gamers, and do not want to go through all the effort of writing an application if they might not use their privileges at all. However, there is a cache to this rule. A Lazor cannot join a squadron unless they apply. The difference between being a [Lazor] and a [Lazor][Eagle], say, is that the latter receives a newsletter, has access to the LazorDB, can join the racer or fighter corps or become a designer or cartographer. Squadron members can also participate in clanwars depending on their skills. It’s like a demo and a full version of an application, except you don’t get constant notifications and you don’t have to pay.
  2. Another important bit of news is that we finally have a server. Yes, you heard me. A SERVER!!!! The server, called Lazor Clan Server, has a new map called Terraces and is partly instantgib. Big thanks to Grégoire Passault for hosting the server. Another new Lazor, Dragon647, plans on creating a training server that is only open to squadron members. But while you wait, come on over to The “Lazor Clan Server” and have fun! Our third clanwar will be held on this server on Sunday, 4:00, American EST, so Lazors, let’s get ready to rumble!!!!
  3. Finally, Lazor has created the Lazor Allies, a group of other clans who have essentially merged with us but still recruit and govern themselves separately. However, people from the BRZ, and Blackwhite Clans, our allies, can fight in clanwars and become part of our racer or fighter corps or become a designer or cartographer. Actually, the leader of the Blackwhite clan, Shaggy®, now presides over the racing corps. Give him a hand! If you are a clanleader who is interested in becoming a Lazor-ally, just notify us at b14ckm4g3 |AT| comcast |DOT| net, and simply add [Lazor-A] to you and all of your clan-members names.

Thank you, everybody, for reading this, and I hope this clarified things more.

By the way, the post below was an April Fool’s Joke.
